DON’T SIZE HEPA BY SQUARE FOOTAGE ALONE
Filtration airflow and air changes matter.
Published coverage area is a reference point. The actual filtration
result depends on how much air passes through the HEPA system and how
effectively filtered air circulates through the building.
Home Size
Floor area and ceiling height determine the approximate air volume the filtration system must process.
Filtration Airflow
The Whisper 350 provides approximately 350 CFM; the Whisper 675 approximately 675 CFM.
Duct Distribution
Rooms benefit only when filtered air can circulate through the actual HVAC and building layout.
Particle Sources
Cooking, renovations, outdoor pollution, fireplaces and infiltration can continue adding particles.

WHOLE-HOME INSTALLATION
The HEPA cabinet is only part of the system.
A whole-home HEPA installation has to work with the furnace or air
handler, available duct space, return-air path and mechanical-room layout.
Duct Connections
The filtration system must be connected so air can circulate through the HEPA cabinet without creating an inappropriate restriction.
Mechanical-Room Space
Existing equipment, walls, drains, piping and service clearances can affect where the system can be installed.
Electrical Requirements
Non-standard electrical work, where required, is outside the published standard installation allowance unless specifically included.
Multiple Systems
Homes with two furnaces or air handlers require a system-by-system filtration plan rather than assuming one cabinet serves the entire home.

The Airwash Whisper 350 is $1,299 + HST for the system or $1,773 + HST
for a qualifying standard installation. The Airwash Whisper 675 is
$1,499 + HST for the system or $1,973 + HST standard installed.
Non-standard installations are quoted separately.
Is there a discount when HEPA is installed with air duct cleaning?
Yes. The Whisper 350 system price is $1,199 + HST with DAVESDUCTS air
duct cleaning, or $1,673 + HST standard installed. The Whisper 675 is
$1,399 + HST with duct cleaning, or $1,873 + HST standard installed.
What is included in standard installation?
Published standard installed pricing includes the HEPA system, a
$175 standard installation kit and $299 standard installation labour.
Custom sheet metal, major duct modifications, electrical work,

Which whole-home HEPA system should I choose?
Selection should consider the filtration objective, building volume,
HVAC layout, available airflow, mechanical-room space and desired air
changes. DAVESDUCTS does not recommend sizing solely by the maximum
published square-footage reference.
Can a whole-home HEPA system reduce PM2.5?
A properly designed HEPA filtration system can reduce airborne
particulate including fine particles, but DAVESDUCTS does not
guarantee a specific PM2.5 concentration because indoor levels also
depend on outdoor air, infiltration, occupant activity and particle sources.
What if my home has two HVAC systems?
Independent furnaces or air handlers should be reviewed separately.
Depending on the duct configuration and filtration objective, more
than one filtration unit or another strategy may be appropriate.
How much are replacement HEPA filters?
The current 16-inch whole-home HEPA replacement price is $299 + HST.
