WATER CHEMISTRY
The heater and the pool water interact.
Pool-heater heat exchangers operate in direct contact with circulating pool or spa water. Water chemistry and system conditions can affect heat-exchanger life and heater performance, so mechanical repair should not be treated as a substitute for proper pool-water management.
