WHAT PROPER CLEANING INVOLVES
More than vacuuming the registers.
The objective is source removal: physically loosen removable contamination from accessible HVAC-system surfaces and collect it under negative pressure rather than simply cleaning what is visible at the vent opening.

There is no single cleaning interval that makes sense for every building. System condition, renovations, construction, filtration, occupancy and previous cleaning quality all matter.

Drywall dust, sawdust and renovation debris may enter HVAC systems when they are not adequately protected.

New ductwork can contain construction material depending on how the system was protected during the build.

DAVESDUCTS has been a NADCA member since 2012 and maintains personnel with Air Systems Cleaning Specialist (ASCS) and Certified Ventilation Inspector (CVI) credentials.
Our broader HVAC and duct-system capabilities matter too. If the actual problem is leakage, damaged ductwork, poor airflow, equipment condition or system design, cleaning alone may not be the correct solution.
Cleaning cannot repair a duct system.
Cleaning removes applicable contamination. It does not reconnect damaged ducts, seal leakage, resize undersized returns or correct poor airflow design.

How much does residential air duct cleaning cost?
The current residential package is $389 + HST per furnace and includes up to 16 supply and return vents. Additional vents are $5 each. Larger homes, multiple systems, access conditions and optional services can affect the final price.
Do you clean both supply and return ducts?
Yes. Applicable supply and return branches and main trunk lines are addressed within the agreed and accessible residential cleaning scope.
Does DAVESDUCTS use a truck-mounted vacuum?
DAVESDUCTS uses portable HEPA-filtered collection equipment. Effective source removal depends on negative pressure, access, mechanical agitation and collection—not simply whether equipment is truck-mounted.
How often should air ducts be cleaned?
There is no single interval appropriate for every property. The decision should be based on actual system condition, previous cleaning quality, renovations, construction, filtration and occupancy.
Can duct cleaning fix hot and cold rooms?
Not necessarily. Uneven temperatures can result from leakage, balancing, sizing, return-air capacity, restrictions, equipment setup or building-load conditions.
Do you clean commercial duct systems?
Yes. Commercial projects are assessed and quoted based on the building, HVAC equipment, duct-system configuration, access, occupancy and required scope.
