HVAC CONSULTATION & SYSTEM INVESTIGATION
Have an HVAC problem nobody has properly figured out?
Poor airflow, uncomfortable rooms, questionable ductwork, renovation planning or a system that simply doesn’t seem right? DAVESDUCTS can help determine what is actually going on before you spend money on the wrong repair.
Second opinions
Renovation & system planning
Begin with the least complicated option.
Not every HVAC concern needs an onsite investigation. Send us the information first and we can determine the appropriate next step.
Send photos + a description
Best when photos, equipment information and a clear description may be enough to provide preliminary direction.
Onsite HVAC Consultation
Pricing depends on system complexity, testing required and the scope of the investigation.
WHEN TO CALL US
We investigate problems that require more than a quick guess.
HVAC problems are often blamed on the equipment when the actual issue may be duct design, airflow, installation, system sizing or the way multiple components interact.
Poor Airflow
Weak supply airflow, rooms that don’t receive enough air, excessive static pressure or suspected duct restrictions.
Uneven Heating & Cooling
Rooms that consistently run hotter or colder than the rest of the home despite normal equipment operation.
Disconnected or Defective Ductwork
Suspected disconnected ducts, major leakage, damaged ductwork or questionable previous installation work.
Home Additions
Determine whether the existing HVAC system and ductwork can reasonably support a new addition or altered floor plan.
Renovations & Gut Jobs
Review existing ductwork before walls are closed and identify opportunities to correct poor design while access is available.
Second Opinion
Get another professional perspective before approving a major repair, ductwork replacement or HVAC system redesign.

ONSITE CONSULTATION
What are you actually paying for?
The goal is not to show up and sell you equipment. The goal is to understand the system well enough to recommend the correct next step.
01
Understand the Complaint
We start with the symptoms, history of the problem and any previous work already completed.
02
Inspect the System
Equipment, ductwork and accessible components are reviewed based on the specific issue being investigated.
03
Identify Deficiencies
We look for conditions that may explain the problem rather than assuming that replacing equipment will solve it.
04
Develop the Next Step
Where possible, we’ll recommend a logical corrective scope or identify additional investigation that may be required.

CONSULTATION PRICING
Why isn’t there one fixed onsite price?
The amount of investigation can vary substantially.
A straightforward inspection of one problem area is not the same scope as investigating an entire home’s ductwork, reviewing a renovation, assessing multiple HVAC systems or troubleshooting a complex airflow problem.
The consultation fee is based on the anticipated scope, time and testing required. Wherever possible, DAVESDUCTS will establish the consultation scope before scheduling the onsite visit.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Before you book.
Is the phone consultation really free?
Yes. Send photos and a description of the issue for preliminary review. If the problem cannot reasonably be evaluated remotely, we may recommend an onsite consultation.
Can you diagnose every HVAC problem from photos?
No. Many airflow, duct-design and mechanical problems require onsite measurements or physical inspection before a reliable conclusion can be made.
Why does an onsite consultation cost between $275 and $875?
The range reflects differences in scope. A focused inspection of one concern requires substantially less time than evaluating an entire duct system, renovation or complex multi-system HVAC installation.
Can you provide a repair estimate after the consultation?
Where the required corrective work can be clearly identified, DAVESDUCTS can prepare a separate estimate for the recommended repair or improvement work.
Can you review HVAC work installed by another contractor?
Yes. An HVAC consultation can be used to obtain a second opinion or investigate concerns relating to existing equipment, ductwork, airflow or installation.
NEED A SECOND SET OF EYES?
Start with the problem — not a replacement quote.
Send DAVESDUCTS the symptoms, photos and relevant system information. We’ll help determine whether a preliminary review is enough or an onsite investigation makes sense.
