The guarantee applies to the quality of the duct-cleaning work originally performed. New contamination caused by later renovations, construction, occupancy conditions, pets, water damage or other subsequent events is different from an area that should have been properly remediated during the original service.

Furnace Blower Cleaning
$89 + HST with duct cleaning, when inspection determines cleaning is required.
AC Coil Cleaning
$99 + HST with duct cleaning, when the accessible coil condition warrants the service.
Dryer Vent Cleaning
$89 + HST for applicable first-floor or basement dryer locations; $129 + HST for applicable second-floor dryer locations when performed with duct cleaning.
HRV / HEPA Filter Cleaning
$89 + HST when performed with the duct-cleaning service and applicable to the installed equipment.

PORTABLE VS. TRUCK-MOUNTED
The cleaning method matters more than where the vacuum is mounted.
DAVESDUCTS uses portable HEPA-filtered vacuum collection equipment. Effective source removal depends on establishing appropriate negative pressure, creating proper access, mechanically agitating the duct surfaces and collecting the loosened material — not simply advertising the size or location of a vacuum.
Portable Access
Portable equipment can be positioned close to the HVAC system and is practical for many houses, townhomes and other locations where long truck hoses are unnecessary or impractical.
Mechanical Agitation
Negative pressure collects loosened debris; agitation is what physically dislodges adhered dust and material from accessible duct surfaces.
LARGE & SPECIALTY HOMES
Some residential systems need a different scope.
Multiple Furnaces
Homes with multiple furnaces or air handlers generally have separate duct systems. Current residential pricing is per furnace.
Large Homes
Large floor areas, high vent counts, complex zoning and difficult access can increase the time required to remediate the system properly.
Hi-Velocity Systems
Small-duct high-velocity systems differ from conventional sheet-metal systems and should be evaluated before assuming conventional duct cleaning is required or appropriate.
CONDOS & TOWNHOMES
Different access. Different HVAC systems. Different planning.
Parking, building rules, equipment access and HVAC configuration can affect how cleaning is performed in condominiums and townhomes. Some suites also use HVAC configurations that differ significantly from a conventional detached-home furnace and duct system.
CLEANING VS. REPAIR
Duct cleaning does not fix every duct-system problem.
Cleaning removes applicable contamination. It does not repair leakage, disconnected ducts, crushed ductwork, undersized returns, poor transitions or other airflow and design deficiencies.
HOT & COLD ROOMS
Diagnose airflow.
Uneven temperatures can result from balancing, leakage, duct sizing, return-air capacity, building load or equipment conditions.
DUCT LEAKAGE
Seal the leaks.
Cleaning cannot stop conditioned air from escaping through duct joints and openings. Leakage requires sealing or physical repair.
DAMAGED DUCTWORK
Repair the system.
Disconnected, collapsed, rusted or poorly configured ductwork may require repair or modification instead of — or before — cleaning.
INDOOR AIR QUALITY
Duct cleaning is one part of the home’s indoor environment.
Indoor air quality is also influenced by filtration, ventilation, humidity, outdoor air, occupancy and contaminant sources inside the building. Cleaning the ductwork should not be presented as a cure for every indoor-air concern.

Appropriate filtration can help control recirculating airborne particles while maintaining acceptable HVAC airflow.
Ventilation
HRV and ERV systems can provide controlled outdoor-air ventilation where suitable for the home and HVAC design.

DAVESDUCTS provides residential HVAC-system and air-duct cleaning throughout Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area. DAVESDUCTS is a NADCA member company and maintains personnel with NADCA ASCS and CVI credentials.
How often should I have my air ducts cleaned?
There is no single interval that applies to every home. Cleaning should be based on the condition of the HVAC system, renovation or construction history, contamination and other property-specific factors.
Should I clean my ducts after a renovation?
Cleaning may be appropriate if drywall dust, sawdust or other construction debris entered the HVAC system. Inspection is the best way to determine whether remediation is warranted.
Does duct cleaning include my furnace blower and AC coil?
Blower and accessible indoor-coil condition can be evaluated. When cleaning is warranted, those components are separate add-on services because they require additional access and labour. See the current pricing page for applicable same-day rates.
Can duct cleaning fix a hot or cold room?
Not necessarily. Temperature differences can result from airflow, duct leakage, balancing, return-air capacity, equipment setup, building load or duct design and may require separate HVAC or duct-system diagnosis.
Does DAVESDUCTS use a truck-mounted vacuum?
DAVESDUCTS uses portable HEPA-filtered collection equipment. Proper cleaning depends on effective negative pressure, system access, mechanical agitation and collection rather than whether the collection device is mounted in a truck.
Do you provide before-and-after proof?
DAVESDUCTS documents applicable areas of the system so homeowners can review the condition encountered and the work completed.
What happens if my ducts do not need cleaning when you arrive?
If our technicians assess the system and determine remediation is not required and the scheduled cleaning does not proceed, the current pricing page states that a $199 + tax assessment/truck fee applies. If you are unsure before booking, call us and we can explain how to inspect the system yourself.
How much does residential duct cleaning cost?
